I wish Amy Winehouse would come back to life and appear in front of me if only for a few minutes. That way I could hug and kiss her and tell her how wonderful and talented and beautiful she was and that even though she was an addict, she didn’t need drugs, because she was perfect exactly the way she was and that myself and many others will love her, her music, and the message she portrayed for generations.

It kept me sane. When I was going through a really rough time in my life I turned to my music because I had no one else or nothing else. Simply singing everyday, writing music, all my songs, i sang my heart out. It lifted me… The feeling was unexplainable and everyday that I was struggling I felt liberated in those few minutes that I would put a song on and give it my all. It’s kind of crazy but music saved my life.
